Albert Montagut
Journalist and Communications Consultant. Bertelsmann and FC Barcelona
Albert Montagut holds a degree in Information Science and is currently a journalism lecturer at Pompeu Fabra University. He is a journalist from Barcelona who has spent most of his professional career working in the written press.

Albert began his career as assistant editor of Catalunya Express and Mundo Diario, two Mundo Group newspapers. He worked there until the early 80s', when he earned a position as judicial editor for El Periódico de Catalunya. In 2013, he joined FC Barcelona as the communications director, a role in which he emphasized globalization and elevated the company website's sports section to most visited in the world. After leaving FC Barcelona, he became a consultant for Innovation, Farmaindustria and Barcelona Global. He worked for the Ministry of Health, where he helped develop the 2017 European Medicines Agency project. He specializes in international press.

Currently a columnist for Grupo Godó, Albert has served as an analyst for every major radio and television broadcaster in Spain.

He is developing his doctoral thesis at the Autonomous University of Barcelona and has given talks in multiple fields regarding his experiences, his vision of journalism and the digital paradigm and its impact. He has also authored two essays: "Fe de errores" (Temas de hoy, 2009) and "NewPaper" (Deusto, 2012).
