Our office focuses its business objectives on strategic planning for Miami-based U.S. companies operating in Latin America; M&A transactions in the region, often closed in Miami due to the large presence of international law firms; communications for multilatina companies with a Miami presence; and dispute management between Latin American companies in Florida’s courts, as well as the region’s family offices, which manage assets from the U.S.
Our office also offers communications training services for executives, as well as the promotion and planning of corporate meetings and events in Miami.
In 2015, LLORENTE & CUENCA acquired EDF Communications (EDF), integrating it into its U.S. operations. With this acquisition, 12 professionals joined the firm’s U.S. network. EDF is a strategic communications consulting and public affairs firm that has operated in the U.S. and Latin America for more than a decade. As a result of this acquisition, Erich de la Fuente, founder and CEO of EDF has become the managing director for the U.S. and a partner of LLORENTE & CUENCA.
EDF Communications specializes in planning and implementing corporate communication strategies, as well as strategic services designed to complement corporate clients’ communication initiatives. EDF offers corporate communication services, media relations, content development, communications for nonprofit organizations, internal communications, public affairs consulting, political analysis and international anti-corruption and governance initiatives.
Erich de la Fuente has led EDF since its founding in 2001. During his career, he has led the design of communication strategies and corporate image campaigns, crisis management plans and internal communication strategies, as well as conducted media trainings for high-level executives. Additionally, he has led numerous projects in the areas of anti-corruption and good governance for international aid agencies and multilateral institutions.
